Bio:

Wright made a huge impact in his first season with the Bushrangers after missing the entire 2007/08 season with an ankle injury.

The paceman took 24 wickets @ 28.50 in the Weet-Bix Sheffield Shield and was more than handy with the bat, providing some lower-order grunt with 282 runs at an average of more than 30 including three half-centuries.

Wright played all three forms of the game for Victoria and was a key member of the Sheffield Shield-winning side. That was Wright's second first-class title after winning the Pura Cup with Tasmania in 2006/07.

Born in Casino, NSW, Wright brought his enthusiasm and experience to the 2009/10 season starting well but succumbed to a hamstring injury which has kept him on the sidelines for over two months. A lion-hearted performer, Wright had an immediate impact on his return to the side and has relished the workload in the absence of several paceman due to injury and Australian duties.
