The diminutive opening batsman enjoyed a solid 2008/09 campaign for his Premier cricket side Dandenong. He averaged 39.3 and scored two centuries, including an impressive 100 not out in the Twenty20 semi-final.

Forsyth finished his sports and events management course last year and continues to work on his game under the guidance of the Bushrangers coaching staff as he makes the transition to becoming a full-time cricketer.

During the off-season, Forsyth flew over to England to play for club side Reigate Priory. He has put together some strong performances for Victoria in the Futures League competition.
